While most Simpsons episodes are comedic and sitcom-y in nature, there are also some that feel more dramatic than funny. The Lisa-centered episodes feel like this, like is a dramedy concerning Lisa's life in the Springfield town.
It in essence, definitely feels like sort of a PG-13 version of As Said By Ginger. But none the less, some of her episodes actually felt really poignant and even emotional, like the episode with the substitute teacher, or the episode where Lisa thinks she's gonna be as dumb as her father and brother.
