That was a pretty funny scene with Stanley Livingston and Fred MacMurray, together doing dishes, and Chip shows Steve the goof eyes look.

Haven't seen these in years...starting out pretty good...

Stanley L is a pretty good actor...I think he got his start in Ozzie and Harriet, as did his brother, Barry.

Having grown up watching the later seasons, no disrespect to Stan, but I think Barry is the better actor yet. Both were very good.

I find that the early eps written by George Tibbles, series creator, not surprisingly are more representative of M3S overall, like the ones we've come to know from the color seasons -- as opposed to other scripters' efforts, although the Tewksbury ones are similar too.

It's interesting that very early on, common things to the series like popular slang already is in use. For example, we hear the boys say "clunky."

There are also scripts with elements that were later to appear again, such as a younger girl interested in Mike who is mistakenly told he is Rob, 2nd son -- later in the series, a girl younger than Rob, hot for him, has him mixed up with Chip - now the 2nd son.

That ep. with the girl liking Mike and getting him mixed up with Robby is on right now! :) The girl being Julie Foster from Leave it to Beaver! :)

Cheryl Holdridge--yeah, she made the rounds of a lot of 60s sitcoms. She was on Ozzie and Harriet, also.

Just looked her up on Wiki - born 6/20/1944, died 1/6/2009. I did not know she was gone.

Wiki says she played 2 people in My Three Sons, in 3 episodes 1960-1964.
