CBS recently renewed its biggest comedy series, "The Big Bang Theory", for Seasons 11 and 12. And CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves hopes that will not be the last renewal for the multi-camera sitcom.

“I hope it goes beyond that,” he said during CBS’ traditional upfront breakfast on Wednesday morning.

He also reflected on CBS' previous long-running sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond". "Raymond", then-CBS’ biggest comedy series, ended its run in 2005 after nine seasons.

“In my book, Everybody Loves Raymond left three years too early. You want to leave on top, but you also don’t want to leave money on the table.”

Thanks for the news. The sad thing is that Frank never would've lasted three more years since Peter Boyle went forward during the year after the show ended.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. He only would've been able to give the show one more season.

It left right when it should have.

The execs always want to milk every last drop from their cash cows, regardless of how that affects the overall quality and legacy of the show.

Over 12 seasons for TBBT? Whatever. Are they all going to joke about Social Security checks and Hoverounds in that last year?

Peter Boyle was in such bad health that last year that I'm glad they ended it when they did. I'd hate to have to watch Frank Barone die on the series, it would never be the same.

Check out the cast promoting the series finale on Regis here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxZO6adnd9c). Peter was very slow and died not that long after. RIP Peter, Doris, Sawyer. http://prince.org/i/s/sym_rose.gif

With a few exceptions, the 9th season wasn't too good...there were a couple of scripts that were really bad. By the time that janitor episode was over, I was feeling all the actors' pain.

I'd hate to see what they would have done with a 10th season.
