Five months after Alan Thicke‘s death, his Growing Pains costars are paying a special tribute to the beloved actor.

On Thursday’s Dr. Oz Show, Tracey Gold, Joanna Kerns and Jeremy Miller reunite to open up about Thicke, who passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 13 at 69 years old after suffering a heart attack while playing hockey with his youngest son, Carter.

In a sneak peek at the episode, Gold, 48, reveals a startling experience she went through on the day of Thicke’s death.

“I had a really weird moment,” she says. “I found out [that he died] in the evening, so I assumed the whole episode of what had happened to him happened in the evening, but I started to read and I realized it all happened around noon.”

It was a nice interview. I could tell they miss him and they are close like a family.

Where was Kirk Cameron and Ashley Johnson?

My heart went out to the "Seaver family". It's been 5 months since Alan's death and you can tell it's still hard for Joanna, Tracey, Jeremy and Kirk

Kirk Cameron did a special video message. I'm not sure if it was work that kept him from being there or what. I wondered about Ashley Johnson. She was in two seasons of the show, but there was no mention of her. Leonard Dicaprio got a mention and he was only in a handful of episodes in the last season They give him so much credit / associate him too much with the show.

The fact that Leo sent Alan Thicke a note once saying he was in a movie and would never be on tv again. I'm glad to hear that Alan set him straight. Alan told him that Leo came from tv. Tv made him who he was and he shouldn't forget that.

That could've been the reason most likely. But it was really nice that at least Kirk was involved in this.
