Clearly Blanche would be Ms. Scarlette and Rose would be Ms. White (cause she's played by Betty White lol)

Oh shoot! They have a GG jigsaw puzzle too, but it's 1000 pieces. I work jigsaw puzzles all the time, but I hate ones over 500 pieces.

And what FANTASTIC art work---I love how the box is SO totally '80s, and I want that board for framing on my wall!!

That box cover photo is kind of odd. The three younger women look like actual photographs. Sophia looks like a cartoon character drawing, instead of an actual pic of Estelle in costume. Wonder what happened.

I noticed last week that there's also going to be a 2018 Golden Girls calendar! :goodnews:

Already e-mailed the info to my son, with a strong hint it would make a super-duper birthday or Christmas gift. :typing:

What's up with the cover photo on the box?

That was my thought, too. WTF?

And the game board is nice, but it doesn't remotely match the floor plan on the show. The lanai should be approximately where Dorothy's bedroom is. They did a great job on the layout of the kitchen, but it should be where the garage or lanai is. Why is Blanche's bedroom so small? (At least she and Dorothy got closets). Why is the front door in the wrong place? They went to the trouble of placing the furniture correctly, but then put the front door facing the furniture?

I guess they had to take severe liberties with the floor plan since the real floor plan wouldn't come anywhere near the properties of a square or rectangular game board. I know it's totally wrong, but I still would love to have one for framing just because it's gorgeous! lol

The impression I arrive at is that the rooms are supposed to be viewed individually, out of context, not how they are related to each other on the board. In other words, not to be seen as connected to each other; just all represented on the game board.

Obviously the living room was not in the center of the house, and there was a hallway leading to all the bedrooms. Not so on this game board.

Perhaps it has something to do with needing to move game pieces "around the board" as you play. The actual layout of Blanches house would not lend itself to doing that very well.

Why the details of each room isn't more accurate I can't account for.

It is a gorgeous board.

But I hope if they ever do a Facts of Life one, they get the layout right. The first edition should be in the dorm, with stairs going up on the left, and Mrs. G's room on the right. It should also have a stable, an office for Mr. Bradley, and tiny cafeteria, with very little food.

I think they could have done better with the layout, but I see what you mean. I can totally see getting together with other sitcom fans and playing this! For GG fans who have friends who are also GG fans, this is a must-have!

That is an odd box cover. Sophia's face sorta looks like Mrs. Doubtfire.

I'm not even a big fan of the original Monopoly. But the GG version looks like a lot of fun. I want both this, and the GG Clue game. Hope Santa's good to me this Christmas! :santa2: :tree: :stocking:

Hey tlc, is it true that with DirecTV, you can't even pause? I find that hard to believe. Is it just Spectrum propaganda, or is it true? Do you use a DVR with it?

Found this on eBay. Looks like the inspiration for the Clue box art came from this TV Guide.
