Yesterday evening, me and my brother were about to go to my dad's house when all of a sudden...his car didn't start. The engine didn't turn-over and the battery is okay.
It sounds like he has a worn-out starter. The fuses were fine, the radio started, and the headlights worked...is there a way to replace the starter without dismantling his car?

Probably a 4.9 liter If i remember right it's on the driverside of the engine and it has 3 bolts holding it on and of course the wires attached to it.Not a hard job but not easy for an DIYer.. It would probably take a mechanic 45 mins to an hour to replace

Here is something that can be helpful (depends on ability) :
It has starter removal and replacement with pictures.
(Be warned I have had things look easy but became difficult)

It looks and sounds to me like it won't be easy.
(I know I won't be able, but you might  )

If it's that difficult... I may have a professional look at it. My dad can no longer do those types of jobs anymore...
