Why was season 8 so short and why was it originally aired in the summer instead of the fall?

They knew the show wasn't going to be on the fall schedule but the producers wanted to wrap up the storylines in the show so they gave them a short summer run.

^^^ In other words, whoever decided to pull the plug on the show was only letting the world know how far their brain train doesn't have the ability to travel.

God bless you always!!!

According to this Entertainment Tonight clip, They knew the show was being cancelled and were grateful to be told this would be the final 8 episodes rather than be told that the show was cancelled abruptly without being able to say goodbye.

I remember watching the last 2 episodes for the first time on tape. Was so sad to say goodbye to these characters I've grown to attached to.

^^^ The only thing missing from that clip is me with my Louisville Slugger chasing around whoever decided to pull the plug on the show. Hearing Bronson say in such a not happy at all voice, "Now we are so happy, we do the dance of joy!" would have been my cue to start swinging. I would've been like, "You see what you have done to him? Does that beautiful precious look like the happy Balki that we are supposed to see when the dance of joy is done, you complete and total dipstick??? You take away his smile and I have two words for you...BATTER UP!!!"

God bless you and my beautiful precious Bronson always!!!

We all know Balki would have had to react and stopped you from pulverizing the people who canceled the show and taught you a lesson about how all good things must come to an end. He would have had a Mypozian story about the best way to live life isn't to fear the end just enjoy each day to the fullest. Learn to appreciate what's the most important, your friends and family.
