When was the last time this was on in syndication?

I wish it'd come to MeTV.

Antenna ran it years ago but it expired.

It was on Antenna TV for quite a few years. I love the show and wish it was back on.

Antenna didn't show all the episodes. As far as I know, no one ever figured out why. They were particularly missing quite a few episodes from the later seasons. What they did have were complete and unedited.

RTV/RTN [Retro Television Network] ran them before Antenna TV had their run. RTV ran full length episodes for all episodes of Seasons 1-4. For the 5th season, RTV ran 26 out of 40 episodes of the final season. Antenna ran 18 of the 26 final season episodes that RTV ran. In checking my notes it looks like RTV began airing them in the summer of 2008 for 2-3 years and Antenna TV then ran them somewhere around 2011-2014.

It is sad that neither could get more of the final season out there. Fortunately, I had those episodes from airings on CBN [I sure miss that channel], WOR, a couple local TV stations and a some film transfers. When all was said and done, my friend put together a 5th season set with only 1 episode in the 22 minute range. All others were full length with the exception of "Star Light, Star Not So Bright" which apparently has never aired anywhere.

Yes, it was when RTV ran the series that I recorded it on DVD-R's. Luckily DVD recorders were invented by that time so I didn't have to transfer tape versions, these are straight to DVD recordings. But RTV DID skip a lot of episodes and they messed up on the broadcasts of some of them, the beginnings would be cut off or the end would cut off. Lot of technical difficulties, well at least some, you just notice it more when you're recording. While RTV skipped a lot of episodes, the one I really would like to see is that Christmas episode, mentioned above.

Back in the '60's when I saw these shows for the first time, my local area didn't carry this show as a daily repeat, but when we went to New Jersey beach in the summer, the New Jersey channel did carry this show. So that's how I first ever saw the program. I wasn't around when it was first broadcast in the '50's.

I'm currently just now (for the past 6 months) watching, every Friday, my RTV recordings (didn't watch them then, just recorded). While I didn't find them very funny when I started watching, the more I see the more I enjoy them, even if they're really not funny, they are very enjoyable and pleasant. Would really like to see all the episodes that RTV skipped though.

Between the RTV airings and Antenna airings, my friend was able to get all of seasons 1-4 with almost all in the 25+ minute range. I only see two @ 24+. I know she had to keep watching for the ones that you mention where they cut the tag scene or there were pixels, or the format was not correct, but she did eventually manage to get all of them. It took multiple runs of the episode airings, though. I love the Christmas episode. Even in the 50's they were talking about Christmas being too commercial. My copy is spliced from 2 different sources [thank goodness for differing editing styles], but my trade pal was a whiz at splicing and the episode is now in tact. I tried to upload it to You Tube at Christmas, but couldn't figure out how to do it. Maybe this year :)

CJ - Do you trade? If so, do you want anything? I am mainly interested in S4 and S5. Before tonight, I did not even know they did a Christmas episode.

I love to get a high quality complete set of Bachelor Father! But it seems like the owners of the show does not want to release it to the public in dvd or download. And it seems like they not too keen on syndication either since it not on right now at least in the U.S. market that I know of.

So, you do you have the episode "Star Light, Star Not So Bright"? That is the only one I do not have of Bachelor Father. How can I get this from you?

Only trading is permitted on live posts. Could you post an idea of any sitcoms you might have to trade?

This episode is very rare so it would command a very unequal trade.
