I like Carefree Highway, didn't make my list but nice follow up hit for Gordon Lightfoot after Sundown.
For 1979, I can give another honorable mention to Suzi Quatro for the song She's In Love With You. It wasn't a big hit, only reached #41 on Billboard but I've always liked the song.

Chuck E's In Love, I used to dislike that song too but I guess I've heard it enough times over the years to the point where I now like it. :lol:
The problem with 1979 is that there was too much disco on the charts, but there were still some good songs around that year. 1979 was sort of a pop music transition year from the sound of the 70's to what pop music would become in the 80's.
