i was wondering!! when i was an kid we only had the channels 3 9 12!! then we didn't get cable unitl after i had back surgery when i was 12 years old! now i did watch some tv when i went to my grand mamas house ! but i really didn't get into tv serise unitl right when i got into some in Middle school but mostly during high school!! i mostly played Nintendo & video games!!

The first shows I remember watching regularly that I still have memories of today are Seinfeld and I Love Lucy. That would be in the late '90s.

I started out watching cartoons when I was around 2 or 3 years old. They came on early in the morning on The Bozo Show and then on saturday mornings.

I have been watching television as long as I can remember, probably since I was a toddler. The earliest TV shows I recall enjoying were mostly children programs like Mister Roger's Neighborhood, Sesame Street, and New Zoo Revue (which was a favorite of mine).

I also remember watching TV as far back as I can remember. Mostly cartoons and other kid's shows at first. Before going to bed I'd watch shows with my father. His favorite shows were The FBI, Bonanza Mannix 12 'O Clock High Gunsmoke Dragnet and Ironside among others. He also liked Variety Shows, unfortunately these didn't turn me on at the time (Hey, I was just a kid at the time, I didn't know any better). Great times we had back then, and I've found a few variety shows on DVD. I do intend to purchase Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In when the price goes down to a reasonable price.

I don't have a real clear memory of when I started watching TV, but I'm sure it was early on. :) I was born in 1957 and we had 4 VHF and 3 UHF channels. We didn't have cable available in this area until 1981; it was a small company that was eventually swallowed up by Comcast. I have a very vivid memory of watching TV the day that President Kennedy was assassinated. I was home from school, sick with measles and my mom was watching "As The World Turns". I know we only had one TV, so I guess I was resting on the living room couch. My dad worked middle shift at a GE plant and he was getting ready to leave for work. My mom was very upset. Although I certainly didn't realize it then, TV united the nation during those days.

My mom and I first had cable installed when I was three years old and we were living at my grandfather's house and it was installed by a cable guy who not only installed the cable but gave us a free cable guide and when we got it my mom was in heaven because she got to have cable in our room and I could watch my cartoons while getting ready for school because I shared a room with my mom and I didn't have my own room yet. Then we continued to have cable when Mom and I moved to an apartment and we even kept it when we moved to our house. But when we moved to our previous house Mom and I had to watch TV on an antenna which wasn't too great because we only got like five channels. And so when we moved to our current house we finally got Direct TV and I was finally able to have my own TV with cable so I could watch my shows in private

Some of the first shows I can actually recall watching were The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and The Mothers in Law, I think they were both on in 1968. I was four years old at the time. Also, Birdman. It's funny how certain things just stay with you.

We had the TV on a lot when I was a kid, though obviously in those days it was only on about 18 hours a day. My mom watched soaps in the afternoon, and we watched stuff at night together as a family. Saturday morning it was pretty much mine; my brother was an older teen and was gone at work or with friends. My dad watched TV at night after work, though it seemed we were doing other things as well; not as if we were glued to it all day. He watched lots of sports, as well.

I seem to remember watching Dennis the Menace in the early 1960's. My mom loved Perry Mason, I Led 3 Lives ( I haven't see that show shown since then) Combat and I would be in the house when those shows were on. Some might have been syndicated and on in the mornings in the 1960's My family in general would see Lawrence Welk, Gunsmoke, Ed Sullivan.

I think ever since I was a baby...obviously, I watched WVIZ Cleveland's PBS affiliate that has Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers. I also remember watching NBC on SatAM with Smurfs and Alvin and the Chipmunks.
