"Making History" Canceled at Fox After 1 Season

"Making History" is, well, history as Fox has canceled the rookie comedy series due to low ratings, TVLine has confirmed.

"Making History" — which starred Adam Pally (Happy Endings) and Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) — saw its 13-episode order scaled back to 9 last fall before launching in March with 2.19 million viewers and an anemic 0.9 demo rating (and that was with the benefit of a Simpsons lead-in).

Its series finale is slated to air on May 21.

Making History's problem mainly was that they focused more on multi-episode arcs and not one episode where they travel back to a different time every week. Like Son of Zorn, it was simply a high concept comedy (http://forums.previously.tv/forum/2513-making-history/) with a good premise but awful execution.
