I think LITB certainly had their share of very mean girls and women....

Starting with Mary Tyler who threw Beaver over for Wally.

How about Carolyn Schuster who just used Eddie until her boyfriend came back into circulation.

That Miss Tompkins who said she would send Beaver a special gift for finding her wallet and then forgetting about him.

That horrid Shirley and her friends who tormented Beaver about being a sheepdog.

Myra Parker who basically told Wally to buy her an orchid.

Shirley Fletcher who was so obnoxious when Wally was having his Drivers' Ed.

And of course Judy Hensler....the queen of the mean girls.

Anyone else?

Judy was the 1950's Nellie Olsen...almost.

Mrs. Ashby, from down the street, who has a well-groomed yard, and huffed and puffed over Wally's jalopy.

How about the way that Carol Martin, at the tennis Court, used Wally to make her boyfriend come crawling back. She never cared about Wally even as a person.

Penny Jamison in Wally's Girl Trouble, called Beaver a grubby little infant and expected Wally to drop everything and do her bidding. How about Frances Hobbs she took Wally's sweater, wouldn't return it and then bragged about having Wally wrapped around her finger.

How about Marlene the experienced "older woman" who dumped Wally in a sleazy bar

In Don Juan Beaver, Beaver is asked by a new girl from the south to take her to the dance when he's already asked Peggy. He treats Peggy rudely so she'll break their date but then has to tell Melinda he can't take her. She goes from an alluring southern belle to Lucretia Mac Evil and threatens him.

How about the snobby lady (Jean Vander Pyl?), Mrs, Hanson, whose husband always stands by the fireplace ("That's all he does."), who doesn't want Wally to monopolize all her dear daughter's, Alma's, time?

Mrs. Hanson is a real good mean lady. She also played Penny's mom, a very sweet lady.

I like how the lady in Beaver Finds a Wallet never did send him a "lovely" gift for returning her wallet. However in Beaver Becomes A Hero, Beaver returns the canoe and Mr. Watson says he'll send him a reward. He does send him a witty letter and $5.

Both Gilbert's and Richard's moms were kind of mean, when those boys brought home the burro. The burro was immediately gone, except, of course, when it got to the Cleavers'.

In The Mustache Wally goes to school with the confidence of looking more grown up and Julie and her friends act like it's a joke and laugh at him. That would seal the deal for never taking Julie to the White Fox.
