One thing I find unusual about this episode.......Hazel knew everybody and was aware about everything happening around town, Why didn't she know "The Grotto" was closed and boarded up, as well as "Soxie" sold out 12 years ago?

Good point, and in the unlikely event she didn't know something, she had all the sunshine girls to tell her.

Couple things about this episode. One, I like seeing on the dance floor as part of the "teenagers" (who really looked like mid-20 somethings) the guy with the high pompadour who also plays the moonsick "teenager" on Dennis The Menace, the one who builds Mr. Wilson's bar-b-q pit while listening to the transistor radio. That's the same kid on the Hazel show who says of Hazel and the boyfriend when they're slow dancing, 'Hey, get a load of the squares." Did you recognize him?

Another thing that I have often thought, it seems that Hazel and the boyfriend changed their minds awful fast about getting married. From Hazel 10 min.s earlier and what's his name just 2 minutes earlier acting like they couldn't wait to run off and get married to suddenly sobering up and realizing out of the blue now the marriage could never work out. Seems they just changed their minds too fast. But, heck it's a half hour show so I guess they had to speed things up.

It was also sad at the end when Hazel and Harold promise to get married when Harold grows up.

As much as Hazel infuriates me nowadays when I watch with all her overbearing rude ways with Mr. B, this reminds me of why I originally and always before really liked Hazel. It had moments of tenderness and sadness amongst the funnies. I'm still in the fifth season of my once a week viewings, but when it's over I'm going to give Hazel a break after almost 30 years of constant weekly viewings. Maybe when I come back to it I can enjoy it again.
