Shirley Chi Weiss, Production Staffer on "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders", Dies at 36

Shirley Chi Weiss, a production coordinator on "Criminal Minds" and its spin-off "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders", has died at 36. Her family announced that she died on April 23rd and didn't disclose further details.
Tweeted "Criminal Minds" star Joe Mantegna: "Our Criminal Minds family has lost one of our own. RIP Shirley, you were a bright smile in our world."
Erica Messer, an executive producer on both shows, said in a statement, "Anyone who was lucky enough to know Shirley will miss her terribly. She was a loving friend to all of us at Criminal Minds and Beyond Borders. We are especially sorry for her family's loss of their beautiful daughter and sister."
A native of Alaska, Weiss also worked on the shows "20/20", "Eleventh Hour", "The Forgotten" and "The Nine Lives of Chloe King".
A spokesman for the network said CBS will include a card in her honor on the next original episode, scheduled for Wednesday night.
