Does anyone know who is at the top of these lists? I guess the Simpsons has sort of broken this competition. Julie Kavner has 619 episodes plus 110 Rhoda episodes, for 729 plus some miscellaneous guest shots. Hank Azaria has 608 episodes, plus 72 on Herman's Head, plus a lot of miscellaneous stuff.

Before the Simpsons, I see Bea Benederet with 292 episodes of Burns and Allen, 25 of the George Burns Show, 32 of Peter Loves Mary, 192 on the Paul Henning shows, and 112 of the Flintstones, for 653 episodes plus miscellaneous guest shots. Would she have the most appearances outside of the Simpsons, and the most live action appearances of anyone?

Edit: Looks like Lucy had a bout 506 in her own shows.

Kelsey Grammer has 466 episodes as Frasier, in both Cheers and Frasier combined.

Katey Sagal 460: 124 for Futurama, 76 for 8 Simple Rules, 260 for Married with Children.

Ed O'Neil has 448: 260 in Married with Children and 188 in Modern Family.

The number is just a little lower than the ones above, but Ozzie and Harriet Nelson were in 435 episodes of one sitcom.

For the time period, Frank Cady's run on TBH, PJ, and GA was probably a record. He appeared in around 320 episodes between those three shows from 1963-1971, playing the same character.

That record has since been broken I see.

I think it would be a lot more interesting to see who was in the most sitcom episodes without having their own show. Longtime character actors like Richard Stahl, Sterling Holloway, Dub Taylor, and Reta Shaw.
