In 1994 A R&B group named Brownstone made their debut with a song called Pass The Loving then released a ballad called If You Love Me from their debut album called From The Bottom Up that became a huge hit on the R&B scene. Brownstone also went on to release a second album called Still Climbing that featured new member Kina Cosper who had a solo career with her lone debut album and Brownstone had a single from the album called 5 Miles To Empty which was later featured in the Tyler Perry movie Daddy's Little Girls. It's a surprise that Brownstone is no longer together because they were one of the top R&B groups of the 90's

I remember seeing the video for Brownstone's If You Love Me when I was a kid when I was starting to like R&B music and I thought Brownstone's music was cool but I regained interest in the song If You Love Me when it was in the Queen Latifah movie Living Out Loud and then I bought the From The Bottom Up album. Brownstone also did a cover of The Eagles hit I Can't Tell You Why which was also released as a single too
