Did you all see him on that show? He guest starred as a man, who with his wife and young daughter,was conning people in broad daylight on the streets. The ep was hilarious (unusual for this crime drama) but it was little thanks to Griffith that it was. Playing his character's wife was comic great (and very pretty) Joyce Van Patten. She had one sidesplitting moment after another. The only thing Griffith did in it that was even slightly noteworthy was when , as part of a con, he dressed as a cop!Possibly as a nod to his fans who knew him best as SHERIFF Andy Taylor?
