One would think that most actors/actresses would be dead set against having their characters killed off a hit show, but that isn’t always the case. Sometimes they grow out of a character or want to move on to other projects, so they ask producers to get rid of their character. Here are 7 TV actors/actresses who did the unthinkable – they asked to be killed off a show:

Gareth Thomas of "Blakes 7" told producers of that show he would only return for the final episode (he had left two seasons earlier) if his character, Blake, was to be killed off. Apparently he was concerned that he would have difficulty being always connected to that role (though later he returned to it for audiotape stories).

Emma Caulfield wanted to be killed in the finale of "Buffy".

Edith Bunker. Well she wasn't killed but she did die. Jean Stapleton wanted to leave the series.

I could be wrong, but I think that Jessica Biel wanted her 7th Heaven character to be killed off too.

P.S. It never happened of course, but at one point she wanted the character killed because she didn't want to be on the show anymore.
