View Full Version : Which network would you say would be a good fit??? macbeth06 04-19-2017, 06:53 PM For a new unsolved mysteries which network would it do the best in. I say ethier cbs or fox. JannTosh 04-19-2017, 07:28 PM NBC or CBS would be the Best but I doubt they would go for it A channel like A & E or Inestigatiom Doscpvrry would likely be the most interesyed Kane 04-19-2017, 08:01 PM When it comes to prime time networks, none of them. However, if I had to pick a cable network, I would say A&E. But right now, I personally prefer syndication. I may be in the minority, but that's where I stand. Bravo. D'aaaaw it's cute you're still talking about me after "ignoring" me though. Can't get little ol' me off of your mind? Someone has a crush ;) Try to contain yourself though big guy, I'm taken. macbeth06 04-19-2017, 11:54 PM What does perfect syndication mean. freakbook 04-20-2017, 12:46 PM This Macbeth guy reminds me of Freakbook but without the wild machinations Also, this is the most cowardly thing someone can do. Don't put me on ignore and THEN talk ****. "I get to talk about him, but I can't see his reply hehe". Pu$$y. Kane 04-20-2017, 02:20 PM What does perfect syndication mean. In the television business, syndication is the broadcast a TV show on multiple individual stations as opposed to a broadcast network. Syndication includes reruns and first-run episodes. Entertainment Tonight, Family Feud, and Inside Edition are just a few examples of TV shows that air in first-run syndication. A number of scripted shows also aired in first-run syndication, including: Xena, Hercules: The Legendary Journey, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Baywatch, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. A wealth of information on the topic is attainable through a Google search. Kane 04-20-2017, 02:22 PM Add another person to your minority. Can we be a vocal one? :D I don't see why not. Consider yourself added to the minority. :) NCRavensFan86 04-20-2017, 09:29 PM Daily syndication probably wouldn't work at least as long as a show called "Crime Watch Daily" is on. However I could see weekly syndication work. That's how "Baywatch" and the original 90's version of "American Gladiators" ran. Saturday Nights after the 11 PM News would be an ideal timeslot. I really think it could give "Saturday Night Live" a challenge in the ratings. If I was to pick a network: I would say ABC or FOX because CBS and NBC are really crushing them in the ratings right now. Cable: A&E would be perfect for UM. I could see a powerhouse lineup of "The First 48" "Unsolved Mysteries" and "60 Days In." macbeth06 04-21-2017, 05:46 AM In the television business, syndication is the broadcast a TV show on multiple individual stations as opposed to a broadcast network. Disney or Nickelodeon macbeth06 04-21-2017, 04:19 PM Disney or Nickelodeon Lol what Awsi Dooger 04-22-2017, 07:36 PM NBC or CBS would be the Best but I doubt they would go for it Good call on both ends. It has to be a major network for any semblance of weight and resurgence. But they would never go for it. Notice that the EAR ONS forums are very excited about tonight's telecast on CBS at 10 PM. That's because the case finally receives exposure on a major network with likely 5 millionish viewers. There wouldn't be nearly the buzz if it were merely another cable network offering. There is still a vast gap in class, credibility, aura and potential for meaningful offshoots between a major network and any of the hundreds of cable networks. Let's put it this way...almost nobody gets paranoid or scared about content on cable. It does happen regarding the major networks, all the time. As always, big picture reality. Whenever someone rants about networks or print media they automatically flunk our litmus tests in Las Vegas. I don't want that guy/girl handicapping anything meaningful. everybodylovesrs 04-28-2017, 04:25 AM HBO. More freedom to do what they want. RedBasket 04-28-2017, 08:28 AM I would say in terms of network TV: NBC.....back to the beginning! Cable: Investigation ID or Reelz. Reelz does a lot of "Murder Made Me Famous" and other type shows. I liked it on Lifetime. A&E maybe? LooksLikeCRicci 04-28-2017, 06:40 PM HBO. More freedom to do what they want. Fabulous suggestion. HBO has produced some of the most compelling documentaries I've seen in the last few years... |
