1. (this refers to another thread about Rory and Rusty Stevens). Rory is in this episode too. A part without many lines, but some pretty good dialog.

2 (this refers to inconsistencies) Wally mentions the Class of '62 (we are to assume this is his class) was going to give the school a water fountain--that would mean in season 5 he would be a senior, and in season 6 he would have gone on to college...oh, well...

Yeah I think Wally got de-aged to keep him on the show until the end. The producers probably wanted to maintain the core dynamic, although Wally could have attended a local college and still lived at home; and even if he did leave for dorm life, that would have been a realistic plot point for Beav and the family to deal with.
