"One of the first regular TV roles that I did was LA Law back in the '80s. There were a lot of theater actors who were part of that group. Every week there was a scene where the case, or cases of the week, were discussed and those were called "the conference room" scenes.
I remember being in that particular "conference room" scene and looking up at a couple of the grips and they had the scripts for the next scenes we were going to shoot. They were reading the scripts and were enthralled and couldn't wait for what the next show was going to be about.
That's when I knew that the show was really doing something."
