In 2007, CBS/Paramount released The Andy Griffith Show - The Complete Series Collection on DVD, a 40-disc set that included a disc full of bonus material, including the 1986 telefilm "Return To Mayberry." That TV movie also appeared on DVD again in 2010, when the studio put out a 3-disc set called "The Andy Griffith Show - 50th Anniversary: Best of Mayberry." But it was NOT included on the studio's 2016 re-release of The Andy Griffith Show - The Complete Series, a 39-DVD package that didn't contain the disc of extras...and so Return to Mayberry wasn't part of that pack.
If you're one of the fans of this show (and/or Mayberry R.F.D.) who don't have this yet, then you're in luck! CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution have now announced that this feature-length reunion TV movie, never before released individually on DVD, will be available separately at last! On June 13th CBS/Paramount will put in stores The Andy Griffith Show - Return to Mayberry as a single-disc title, Pricing hasn't been revealed yet.
