Has anyone noticed any goofs on the airings of Alice?
I was watching the episode where Mel hires the male waiter. Alice confronts Mel as he pulls out this huge slab of meat from the refrigerator. Mel is touching and handling that meat with his raw hands. Of course, it is not real meat, but still, the illusion is he is handling that meat and trying to chop it as Alice is talking to him about paying the new waiter more money. Mel walks away to the front counter, NEVER WASHES HIS HANDS and he then grabs a donut and eats it. LOL I don't think I ever noticed that before.
As for edits, I noticed in the episode about the flasher. The scene where Alice talks to the sheriff is edited out. We never see her reporting it to the sheriff. Sad thing too because the guy who plays the sheriff was actor Lewis Arquette. He was on The Waltons for a few years. He was also the father of David, Roseanna, and the other Arquette kids.

Logo probably just airs 19 minutes of Alice because they have no standards. Don't get me wrong, I love Alice and actually have the first two seasons on DVD and I will record Seasons 5-9 when Antenna starts airing it. I don't want to see Alice butchered on Logo like it is.

Do we know Antenna will air the episodes with better editing?
I have season 1 of Alice on DVD that I bought many years ago from someone who recorded all kinds of shows to sell.
I have my own DVR device and I record shows constantly to put on disc. I don't know if I should record off of LOGO or wait until Antenna airs Alice.

Wait until Antenna airs it. They air it--minus credit crunch--exactly as they receive them. It will be much better editing and quality on Antenna I'm sure.

I'm not so sure about that...it might be the same quality we've seen in syndication during the 80s.
Antenna TV airs the same poor quality syndicated versions of Three's Company and All in the Family that aired in the 80s lol

The reruns of the majority of shows that aired in syndication during the 80s were the best. The airings of Alice were great. The airings of Alice that appeared on TNN in 1999 were pretty damn good. After that, it went downhill since commercial advertising took over much more time and it meant more editing of the show.
