Like The Golden Girls, Empty Nest began using a real house for exterior shots. Then later would become a facade in the backlot of Disney in Florida. Some believed the house was always a facade on Empty Nest, but I never bought into that, as the first 4 seasons had a home to the left and a curb at the road with a drain hole next to the front walk. Somewhere in season 5, the house to the left and the curb went away and sometimes you can spot a tram running way back behind the house to the right where the driveway is.

YAY, finaly ! It needed a lot patience to wait until it finaly has been found !
Now the Empty Nest fans can finaly see it themselfes, or virtualy visiting with street view. Very nice ! :eek2: :clap:

that's pretty cool - so does the inside floorplan of the set match the house on the outside, or can you tell?
