On this edition of The Games Of '90, Cyndi takes a look at Mark Goodson's favorite game show, To Tell The Truth! The show can be summed up with Five hosts, four sharp panelists, three contestants, two rounds of gameplay and a revamped One on One! Does the 9 months of Truth hold up? Watch and find out!
It Was a Thing on TV: Episode 534--To Tell the Truth, 1990 version (https://www.itwasathingontv.com/e/episode-534-to-tell-the-truth-1990-version/)
It's hard to keep a good format down. A decade after the Robin Ward-helmed version of To Tell the Truth (see episode 139 for more), the show returned with a mix of old and new panelists, the tried-and-true format, but also a total of five hosts, including the pilots. A formidable reboot lasted 3/4 of a year in a time when game shows as a whole were a dying breed.

I have watched a ton of these '90-'91 To Tell the Truth shows.
The title "Garbage" for this thread is totally inappropriate. As the YouTuber mentioned the set ("looks great") and music ("sounds great") were top-notch. Other comments amounted to quibbles and preferences that didn't interfere with the premise of the game. He liked the "one on one" at the end. While not a fan of Swann's hosting, in fact he calls this overall run "great" and "one of my favorite versions" of the show"...!!!
SO, TMC, I have to ask WHY did you attempt to mislead us by inserting "Garbage" into the thread title? This was in fact a very good incarnation of the show and I've enjoyed the episodes. Trebek was among the more smooth hosts in my opinion (no surprise) but I didn't dislike any of them. The YouTuber had very high praise for Goodson as host when he took it on, and praise for Burton the announcer.
