Does anyone have the full series DVD set? I'd like to know 2 things:

1. When I watched DS on Sci-Fi many years ago, the syndicator was evidently missing several videotapes, and the live-show poor-quality kinescopes were used. In one review on Amazon, it was said with Barnabas's debut episode, which was one such kinescope, the videotape was located, and both the videotape and kinescope were included on the DVD set (not sure why you'd want to watch the kinescope). Does anyone know if several episodes are still poor-quality kinescopes on the DVD set? It particularly bothered me when this happened with the color episodes, since the kinescopes are black and white.

2. I found a lower price than Amazon--where did you buy your copy?...I trust Amazon, but I'm not sure I trust the lower-priced site.

I'm sure my DVD Deluxe Edition has the kinescope debut of Barnabas. From what I recall, that episode (among others) is missing and all that exists are kinescopes. I bought my Deluxe Edition on Amazon when there was an impressive sale going on.

I forgot to ask, does anyone know if they found that lost episode?

No, it's been reconstructed though. It's not really a significant episode. When they used to show reruns without it, the storyline didn't suffer without it. However, the reconstruction is a pleasant addition to the DVD set.
