Leonard Nimoy (1931-2015) wrote two autobiographies during his life, one titled I Am Not Spock, the other I Am Spock. Yes, Nimoy did a few other things in his life, such as starring on Mission: Impossible for two seasons, hosting In Search of…, and directing Three Men and a Baby. But he will always be remembered for Star Trek.

Leonard Nimoy (1931-2015) grew up in Boston, and began his acting career in the early 1950s. He starred in a Poverty Row noir titled Kid Monk Baroni and played a Martian in the Republic serial Zombies of the Stratosphere, and had a long list of TV guest roles. He later was a regular on Mission: Impossible for seasons 4 and 5, and hosted the documentary series In Search Of… in the late seventies. He directed the number one box office hit of 1987, Three Men and a Baby, and beginning in the 1990s he narrated a number of documentary features.

None of the foregoing, however, is the reason Nimoy is a headliner. In 1966, he was cast in a role that he became so identified with, he would write a pair of books about the experience—the first titled I Am Not Spock, the second, I Am Spock. Nimoy played the half-Vulcan Spock on the original Star Trek series, in a guest appearance on The Next Generation, as a voice actor in the early-seventies animated series, and in eight feature films (https://lebeauleblog.com/2015/09/10/worst-to-first-ranking-the-star-trek-movies/).
