Do you like the show in black and white or would you rather it was in color?

Does the black and white give it more of an older time period look and feel?

Oh for sure, in black and white! ;) It is a big part of it's nostalgic charm! :) Like I love Lucy, while it is fun that they have those TV specials where they colorize some episodes , I wouldn't like it in color all the time! ;)

So to sum it up , LITB wouldn't be the same in color! I'm very glad it is in B & W !!! ;)

I really can't say if it would have been better had it been filmed in color. As it is, I do like it though since I don't know any other way. The B&W gives it that older feel of a simpler, safer, time, which is perfect for escapist sitcoms and I think suits this show well.

It would be interesting if they tried a colorization sample like they did with Lucy and Dick Van Dyke. There's probably a lot we're missing seeing it in B&W so that might be fun to watch.

It's perfect! Don't touch it. I do enjoy the colorized Lucy shows, but that show had a totally different vibe. In a way, we did get to see Leave It To Beaver colorized because of The New Leave It To Beaver show in the 80s.

Yes, colorize a few episodes, like they have done with Lucy and Dick Van Dyke. I agree, we did get to see the new LITB, but it was years ago. I'd like to see some real DVDs come out on it, instead of the dreck that someone taped years ago.

Cool! ("Beaver, I've never been so ashamed of you as i was today!") Pretty close Ward quote, anyway!

At the Addams Family forum, somebody colorized a scene from that show. Wish I had the talent to give it a try.

Ah, yes. If only time machines really existed! I would love to go back to the "Beaver" days, when the world was a much more innocent place. I am a teacher who has become so disenchanted with my students over the past few years. The majority of them have no desire to learn anything but the words to their favorite songs, and disrespect towards their teachers, as well as each other, runs rampant. We are certainly not the most powerful nation anymore. Sad, but true.

I wouldn't mind having a few of the LITB episodes colorized using the current process to do it. Had any of the episodes from the later seasons of the series been in color, I wonder how the quality would be now? Some shows that originally appeared in color in the 1960's or 1970's are not good very good quality now while some from that time still look pretty good.

The Andy Griffith Show lost its appeal when they colorized it.

It would be nice to see a few colorized episodes. Maybe a good idea for the 70th or 75th anniversary of the show.
