What's kind of surprising is that Rebecca just lived in a little apartment building right off the street (no huge mansion with armed security). Of course, she wasn't a huge star (and tragically, we'll never know how big she could've gotten post-MSS). She of course sadly (and I don't mean to be crass), got more attention by being murdered, than she did when she was alive (if anything MSS was Pam Dauber's big post-Mork & Mindy vehicle).

TMC: You are right that Rebecca had to die to become famous.
