Incomplete Roseanne reunions have happened throughout the years, mostly at Sara Gilbert’s behest. But after John Goodman recently dropped by The Talk to visit with his former TV daughter, the clamoring for a complete gathering of the cast began anew. And now, instead of another interview-style reunion, Roseanne Barr is getting our hopes up about her onscreen return to Lanford.

Barr’s tweet indicates her entire TV family is in for another episode or season or whatever, and as the matriarch, she probably speaks for everyone. But the news gets even better—Norm Macdonald wants to write the latest adventure of the Connor clan.

I would like to write this show. I know what the Connors are up to. Write it like a play, like no other reunion show ever done. Let's do it. https://twitter.com/therealroseanne/status/842251843153543168 …

Macdonald’s idea is intriguing to us, and we wish to subscribe to his newsletter. Obviously, we need to get ABC on the line.

I hope Norm doesn't mess it up. I would love to see Roseanne as a grandmother and how she is dealing with life after Dan died.

So I'm guessing John Goodman or Glenn Quinn won't be part of this little reunion. Especially the latter.

Not necessary, they can always pretend the last minute or so of the show never happened, or Goodman can appear as a ghost or a dream or something.

Yes, since the last few minutes of the finale was Roseanne explaining how it was all a book she was writing, and then went on to mention all of the differences (for example Dan is dead, Jackie is gay, Mark is with Darlene, while David is with Becky). So the reunion could be Roseanne going back and writing another chapter, which would follow the book, and not have to deal with all the changes Roseanne mentions *really* happened.

The finale ruined the show for me. A reunion that fixes things would be a welcomed addition to the Roseanne series.

Glenn Quinn could be replaced with another actor, or Mark could have died. It's a shame he died. I liked his work on Angel as well.

I'll believe it when I see it. I like Norm McDonald, but he wrote some really lame episodes.

I actually cried when Roseanne disclosed that Dan had died. Dan's death was the only part of an otherwise brilliant show that I didn't care for. I think a reunion might be fun- but only if John Goodman is in it.
