I know technically he played Ellen's BF before she came out, but still...WHY??? With all the really hot actors out there at that time, was "Charley Brewster"/"Herman" REALLY the best they could do??? I don't know, John Stamos could have moonlighted during "Full House". Maybe even Luke Perry??? Rob Lowe even??? But why on earth did they go with William GAGSdale??? First of all, his best known role to date was that of a nerdy, annoying, shrimpy, gawky, unattractive horndog alongside one of the world's most BEAUTIFUL men EVER, Mr. "Sexy" himself Chris Sarandon!! ;) Secondly, he was the main reason "Herman's Head" got the ax, because after three seasons, audiences just were not buying even for a second that "Charley Brewster" was getting all these beautiful women, including Lita Ford and Marcia Brady! (Even though it was later revealed that it was actually his much-hotter costar, Hank Azaria, who was the real babe-magnet behind the scenes!!) Soooo....was William GAGSdale REALLY the only game in town??? Because he is just about as cute as fecal matter!!
