I have the 8 track and its insane!!!!!!

I do think this is the last GOOD album from them of NEW MATERIAL as the next one in 1978 uses crappier instruments and such.........

Anyone else like this album?

I like this one a lot. I like songs like "Lost In a Lost World", "For My Lady", and especially "New Horizons". "I'm Just a Singer In a Rock And Roll Band" was a sort of acquired taste, because it wasn't so ballad-y for me at first. But it answered the question about the role of a musician and his response to the big questions of life and the universe--"I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band!"

People have been known to place this mantle of responsibility on rock performers. Not such a question had been phrased until Ozzy replied on the Blizzard Of Ozz album several years later: "Don't ask me--I DON'T KNOW!!"

I have a friend who introduced me to the Moody Blues years ago. I also remember him playing another good song from this album, "Isn't Life Strange".

Yes all 7 albums are good with the 7th the best!

I think the 7th Lodge-Hayward MB album was okay...but I do prefer the six before Seventh Sojourn.

Not me, I never got into the Moody Blues. I don't like 8 track either. I prefer vinyl records and cassettes.

I remember my dad had a copy of the Moody Blues album Days Of Future Passed. But that was because he liked classical music and the London Festival Orchestra performed on the album.

Yes, Seventh Sojourn is a great album. And I tend to agree that their earlier works had a quality missing in their post-hiatus era.

Sad really, like so many other successful groups, despite their riches, despite their success, ultimately the one thing they couldn't do is get along, individuals perturbed over how brightly the stars of their mates were burning.

Do you think that a fusion concept such as theirs could thrive in today's music environment?

Tangentially Moody Blues related...I always thought the following song WAS the Moody Blues, until I just learned it was the Amboy Dukes - Journey to the Center of the Mind

You mean like an old 8 track cartridge? Wow, those are nearly Antiques!!

BTW, lots of stuff of considerable value shows up at the Salvation Army.

People die, and after the heirs cherry pick through all the big ticket items, often they are in a hurry to sell the house, so they call the Salvation army and say "come get it all" in order to get a free labor clean out.

Landlords do this too for belongings left behind by unfavorable circumstances.
So, being the first one to sift through the carts when they come in, can be exciting.

Yes especially if the carts were taken care of and in GOOD condition!
