In the 80's there was one of the first interactive children's shows that encouraged young children to practice their writing skills while doing a fun activity in front of the TV. The show's name was Picture Pages and was originally a segment on Captain Kangaroo but in the 80's Bill Cosby hosted Picture Pages and encouraged kids to follow along in their Picture Pages books while Bill had the exact same picture in the show with the assistance of Mortimer The Marker. It is surprising that you don't see kids shows like Picture Pages anymore because Picture Pages was not just a show but an activity that parents and children could do together to be entertained

Picture Pages also had a theme song that began with the lyrics,
"Picture Pages Picture Pages,
"Time to get your Picture Pages,
"Time to get your crayons and your pencils"
Picture Pages was such a wonderful activity show that I wish could be revived for a new generation of children because it was truly interactive and we need shows like this for children again because shows like this are fun to watch

I definitely remember Picture Pages, and it was a fun, interactive show for kids. But Cosby's legacy has somewhat sullied it for me.
