"RuPaul’s Drag Race" Moves from Logo to VH1

In what could be the first of a string of program migrations between Viacom networks, Logo’s signature original series, "RuPaul’s Drag Race", is moving to VH1, where it will air its upcoming ninth season on Friday nights.

The season premiere featuring Lady Gaga airs March 24. Encores will still air on Logo.



“Coming off RuPaul’s Emmy win and a ratings record-breaking season of ‘All Stars,’ the fandom around RuPaul’s Drag Race has only continued to swell as we head into season nine,” said Pamela Post, SVP Original Programming & Development at Logo.

“Broadcasting the show on VH1 will allow more fans to experience the energy, heart and talent these fierce Queens bring to the stage every week.”

VH1 has announced a Season 10 renewal for "RuPaul’s Drag Race", which just moved to VH1 from Logo this season, set to debut next March.

"RuPaul’s Drag Race" will be returning for an 11th season. The renewal for the Emmy-winning reality competition series comes ahead of the Season 10 finale, which is scheduled to air June 28.

The network also renewed aftershow "RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked" for an additional season.

"Would this as yet untitled program, should it get picked up, spell the end of RuPaul’s run hosting Drag Race? The show can exist without its titular star, if Drag Race Thailand is anything to go by."
