View Full Version : In Common V
Scrabjan1 02-24-2017, 10:44 PM What do these episodes have in common?
Wally's Present
Beaver and Violet
Wally, the Lifeguard
Class Picture
Beaver Sees America
Forgotten Birthday
Beaver feels he has to hide something.
Scrabjan1 02-25-2017, 11:28 AM Good answer tdr but I was thinking of something else, maybe an inanimate object.
Torgo 02-25-2017, 11:59 AM Camera
Scrabjan1 02-27-2017, 04:29 PM Correct! In all episodes we see a camera even that old one in Class Picture. Fred's the type of guy who would make his daughter kiss a boy for a photo, then use it without permission.
Scrabjan1 02-27-2017, 04:39 PM What one item of Wally's did Beaver mess with not just once but twice in 24 hours. This item was important to Wally, and Beaver first inadvertently messed with it and later didn't do what he was told and ruined it. You could almost have blamed June for its destruction.
Torgo 02-27-2017, 06:24 PM Wally's suit?
First with the minnows (I think) smelling up the suit, then later when the glove oil gets spilled on it, then the bleach, then when Beaver tries to paint the color back.
Scrabjan1 02-28-2017, 09:57 AM Correct again! Beaver really had it in for that suit jacket. If he had hung it up in the closet no problem, but no plot. June should have hung it up herself.
What do these have in common? To name a few!
Basketball
Fielder's mitt
Pigeons
Kite kit
Hamster
Model airplane
Diary
LaJonda Jones 02-28-2017, 07:57 PM These are things that Ward bought for Beaver

Basketball
Fielder's mitt
Pigeons
Kite kit
Hamster
Model airplane
Diary
They all belonged to Beaver and they were ruined or misused. Basketball-- Beaver let some air out and tried to take it in a suitcase to his friend. Fielder's mitt-- Beaver lost it to Whitey betting he could walk 20 miles in a day, as Ward claimed that he himself had done when he gave Beaver his old pedometer. Pigeons-- killed by a neighboring cat. Kite kit-- broken because Gilbert coerced Beaver into trying it out the day before Kite Day. Hamster-- mentioned in the pigeons episode, Beaver also had a hamster that 'conked out.' Model airplane-- Wally put together the model and Beaver threw it out the window to see if it would really fly, beginning a fight, then June's attempt at forcing a friendship pact. Diary-- Ward and June violated Beaver's privacy by reading it and thinking Beaver really meant the outlandish things that he wrote he was doing.
Scrabjan1 03-02-2017, 09:25 AM Hey tdr that was a great rendition of what happened to those items. LaJonda Jones wrote what I was thinking. All those items were given to Beaver (and Wally, basketball) by Ward. I'm sure there are more. I probably could have mentioned the orchid and such that Ward brought Wally but mainly what Beaver got.
Scrabjan1 03-02-2017, 09:28 AM What do these episodes have in common?
School Play - Beaver almost plays a canary
Teacher Comes to Dinner
Class Picture - Beaver makes a face in photo
LaJonda Jones 03-03-2017, 11:19 PM This is a totally wild guess.
Something has to be wiped off of someones face.
stevea 03-04-2017, 08:36 AM I'd say they're all in "Family Scrapbook" but I'm not sure "School Play" is. I definitely know the other 2 are.
Scrabjan1 03-04-2017, 11:19 AM Hint: Two people are in the same scene in all three and never again.
Hint: Two people are in the same scene in all three and never again.
Ward and Miss Landers are together in at least 2, so that's my guess.
stevea 03-04-2017, 03:41 PM Ward and Miss Landers (wild guess). (editing: didn't see prev. post)
Scrabjan1 03-04-2017, 06:01 PM Correct! The only time Ward and Miss Landers are together. In Class Picture Ward goes to the office and both Miss L and Mrs. R are there. Briefly he is seen with Miss L at the end of School Play.
stevea 03-04-2017, 06:07 PM I almost incorrectly guessed Wally and Miss Landers, but there is at least 1 more episode where they are together--it's a season 4 episode--anyone know which one?
LaJonda Jones 03-04-2017, 08:40 PM "Substitute Father".
I wonder what the swear word was.
stevea 03-04-2017, 08:50 PM Me too! The bell ring covered it, and it sure upset Miss Landers. It must have been pretty bad because Wally said he wasn't even sure Beaver could say it to Dad. Probably a lot worse than "smelly ol' apple."
Scrabjan1 03-05-2017, 11:46 AM By his mouth I picked up a B for bastard. It was probably something like AH. That kid who tripped him had no right.
Scrabjan1 03-05-2017, 07:51 PM What do these episodes have in common?
Garage Painters - the one when they read Tom Sawyer
Happy Weekend - When they go to Shadow Lake for weekend
Beaver's Accordion
Substitute Father
In 3 of them Ward is seen wearing a hat, but I cant verify the 4th one ("The Garage Painters").
Scrabjan1 03-05-2017, 10:09 PM Correct and you have to look quickly at the beginning. It is pouring rain and Ward enters the house, taking his rain hat off quickly and leaving it on the bannister. If they edit it like MeTV does you miss it.
