What are your opinions on drones? I see their appeal and I think they're a good invention but they're really easy to abuse. That is, they are often used for spying purposes. These days your privacy is invaded from the air as well which is just not right. There should be laws that drones cannot be operated directly above or around other people's residences.

It would be too hard to enforce how people operate them, don't you think? My neighbor's 28 year old son had one & he was flying it around all the neighbors houses. But he must have crashed it since I haven't seen or heard it for the last couple of months. I wish they'd outlaw them for the general public's use since they are so easy to use & abuse.

True, it might be impractical to enforce a law like that. I suppose there's no way around it. I wonder if the tech industries even know what they've unleashed making these things available to the public.

I think they should be banned. And they may be one day when they start falling on people's heads.

Amazon is considering, floating drone friendly warehouses. Amazon has been awarded a patent that describes a logistics technology it calls "airborne fulfillment center (AFC)." The AFC is essentially an airship that's capable of flying at altitudes of 45,000 feet or more that would house items the company sells through its online marketplace. In the patent, Amazon describes a method by which drones would fly into the warehouse, pick up the items they need to deliver, and then deliver those items to the customer's homes.

I bought my dad one for Christmas and he enjoys it. However, he uses it just to fly, like a plane.
