I read on the Dark Shadows wiki that the Laura story line was supposed to last three months longer but was cut short by Diana Millay's pregnancy.

I am watching the older episodes for the first time (2 a day) and have reached the episode with Laura and David in the fishing shack.

I'm not sure what more they could have done.I would hate to see the plot dragged out more than it was.

My DS viewing has stalled abit at 741 with Laura as a main character. It's enjoyable but I got hooked on the original match game on yt.

You must be watching 1897. I'm talking the original 1967 story.

I didn't think the Laura story was even necessary in 1897.

True it wasn't, but it helped keep the beginning of the 1897 story interesting. I loved the battles between Laura and Angelique. My favorite scene of the second Phoenix storyline is the ending of the episode where Laura and Dirk open Ben's grave for the diary. Barnabas is standing behind them at the trees and with the lightning striking on his reflection, he looks evil and about to kill them. It was a great shot for that scene.

The original match game is a simple but amazing show. Anything goes not ruled by pc..

vito, Brett Somers was a panic on that show! She used to have me roaring with laughter! Loved her guest appearances on "The Odd Couple", too.
