I read a story somewhere that the song Secret Love was nominated for Academy Award and in the early years the singer who sang the song couldn't sing on stage. I think they can now. So they had another actress sing the song . The producer or some high up fellow found out the actress was expecting baby. Maybe the gal told them. Any way they thought the scene looked a little scandalous thinking the woman could be pregnant with her secret love . So another non expectant woman took over and sang the song. Don't know much else or who indeed did sing the song at the awards .
