I am thinking of purchasing the Roseanne entire series DVD set from Mill Creek. It's only $30 on Amazon, but their description and buyer reviews are weak. I'm trying to find out any info on the DVD extras.

1. Is there commentary from the cast/crew. If so, how many EPs have commentary and who are the people who are commenting?

2. Are there enough cut scenes from syndication that are in these to make it worth my while to purchase the DVD set? Or are the uncut versions pretty much the same as the TV version?

Thank you for your time.

I only re brought season 1 from Mill Creek since the original release was edited episodes. The Mill Creek release of season 1 were unedited episodes and I was very happy with the purchase. I am not sure about the rest of the seasons and the commentary.

Hey Ron, did season one have any commentaries? If yes, do you remember anything about them?

Season one has no commentaries at all.
The following episodes have commentaries:
S04E06 - Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down (commentary by Roseanne)
S04E10 - Thanksgiving '91 (commentary by Roseanne)
S05E08 - Ladies Choice (commentary by Roseanne)
S05E15 - Lanford Daze (commentary by Roseanne)
S08E06 - The Fifties Show (commentary by Roseanne and Michael Fishman)
S08E18 - Disney World War II (commentary by Roseanne and Michael Fishman)
S08E19 - Springtime for David (commentary by Roseanne and Michael Fishman)
S09E21 - The Truth Be Told (commentary by Roseanne and Michael Fishman)

With season one you get another 2-3 minutes per episode that was cut out in syndication.
