I don't know how long it took. Perhaps 10 minutes or so (which is better than nothing). I've told Winston to join.

I think this site will be more active when imdb shuts down.

Evidently, this site has been here for awhile. I hope more IMDb members will find it. It's a cool alternative to IMDb.

I'm in the process of checking out AITF here, and so far only encountered one current (December) thread. The threads are also very short.

It will be interesting what TV/ movie board site gets the most traffic.
Some shows boards here are flourishing but others are inactive.

Time will tell if anything comes close to the post action IMDb had even with 40-50 year old shows..

Anyone check out MovieChat or The Movie Database?

A tech guy is trying to clone IMDb and he got some of the post archives at movie chat.

DS is pretty inactive...Aitf archives are fractured at not up to date or too active.
Problem is there's 20 sites doing what IMDb did but on a smaller level.

Time will tell what the go-to site will be in the future.
This one is safe and established.

I guess I'll have to censor my own posts on this site. Lol.

The moviechat.org website does look like IMDb. A lot of the message boards are picking up. The creator of that website has many of our IMDb posts archived there. From what I understand, there are links to IMDb's movie and trivia pages there.

I just signed up, but the message boards have a strange setup. It seems you can only reply to the thread's original post and not the subsequent ones.
Maybe because those threads have been archived from IMDB, I don't know.

If you click on a message board on imdb they give the info that boards are disabled.
Also, it says in 2017 they will be open to having some sort of communication available to users between themselves. It was very vague and maybe just bs.

Those idiots are done with it.

DS is getting a lot of views but not replies.

Fletcher, you can now reply to any of the messages on a thread on the moviechat.org website. Recently, the "edit", "delete" and "report" options have been added. It's taking time, but the site is becoming more professional. There's not a lot of "Dark Shadows" board members there yet though.

I'm thinking now after multiple weeks.that IMDb message boards just splintered to too many directions.to come remotely close to being fractionally duplicated.

Having the handy reference data and message boards just a slight scroll away was perfect too.

I love looking up the whole listed cast on classic tv show episodes and reading about them.

Many fans or relatives of obscure actors or production staff would use IMDb boards to contact or inquire about these great contributors of tv history. Many times the person in question or friend coworker or relatives would post and chime in to contribute to the inquire.
That made for great reading ala on the David Hennessy board.

Or even if all the posts data are totally duplicated MC isn't the consensus go to place like IMDb was so no one will even know its there.

This injustice to these people is hard to stomach.

It's been pretty dead here, and Movie Chat and Movie Data Base are even quieter.

"The Twilight Zone" message boards on moviechat.org are pretty active. Many of IMDb's former "The Twilight Zone" message boards users are active there. It's too bad former IMDb "Dark Shadows" message boards users aren't being active on moviechat.org. Since "The Twilight Zone" message boards have caught on over there, so should the "Dark Shadows" message boards.

I was going to reply to one of Vito's old posts on the All in the Family board to see if it went through, but (groan) I screwed up my login. It was asking me to sign up, which I already had, but I thought maybe it was lost somehow so I re-joined, only to find out that it won't let me due to my original login still being on record. Now when I go to login it won't let me. I'm washing my hands to that headache.

Hopefully, the creator of the site will fix that problem in the near future. The site has advanced since it first appeared. I've noticed more options, and more of the former IMDb message boards for various stars, films and TV shows are appearing there.

I might have to change my password, and then try to remember it. Groan...

There isn't a season 14 of Dark Shadows. If you're talking about the DVD collection 14, then that's part of the beginning of the second Phoenix story I believe. This user on YouTube has a bunch of Dark Shadows episodes uploaded. Episode 736 is the start of DVD Collection 14.

Yeah, not too long ago the whole series was on YouTube. I don't know if it still is, but it's worth a try. If it's not there, keep trying. People put stuff there all the time.

Anybody here log on with Firefox? When I try to it gives me a warning that says: "This connection is not secure. Logins could be compromised." But I don't get that with Safari. Huh...

Thanks but those YouTube DS and the previous posters and most others​ say " blocked in the USA". They want the pay ones viewed for $2 per episode.

Chrome doesn't give a login site warning.

That's weird. I'm in the USA and I haven't ever had a problem viewing any of them. The only time I ever saw something like that was when someone back at IMDB provided me with a link to Fall of the Roman Empire, the entire movie and it said that. I've watched them on Firefox and Safari and just now rechecked and no probs.

I'm curious to know why this is! Going to open Chrome and see what happens.

I was under the impression that you couldn't watch any videos on Youtube at all if you don't but I also don't completely understand how it works. I know that even if you're not signed in, they know who you are.

I sign out of google on the chrome browser but am signed in on my devices.

I signed into yt on a browser. Where I need to start is 739 or 740. Then progress to 775. Hulu starts at 776.
It looks like most are still locked but a few slip by like 746, 753 that aren't.

I think I'll read a plot summary on the blocked and view the unblocked until I get to 776

My Samsung tablet battery drained and won't take a charge. Slowly but surely I'm working on that.
