It seems that in trivia history The Partridge Family is considered to be very much like the Brady Bunch, a horrible sitcom that was way too cheesy even in its own time, never mind anytime after its own time, and it may even be considered one of the worst, or THE ONE most horrible sitcom ever made even considering a 1950s sitcom like Father Knows Best or one of the post-1970s one like "The Annoying Orange."

However it seems that it had some episodes, or at least one episode, that went down in TV history as being "Classic" because it or they just had a "mood of the times" context, and/or the plot had a scenario that just happened in a certain way and at the right time so as to have a positive significance as far as classical episode.

I think that there were a few episodes that captured the essence of The Partridge Family premise, a musical family traveling and making music and finding themselves in some pickle or other.
I think that "The Memory Lingers" has to be the one episode that
most deserves the title of "classic."
Of course as a lot of you may recall it is the episode in which the family is on a picnic before performing for a children's hospital and they find that a skunk had been in their bus and they come in contact with the contaminated bus and have to deal with trying to avoid contact with other people and in spite of bathing they cannot rid themselves of the smell and their manager has to call room service at the hotel they are staying in and order several glasses of tomato juice to fill a bathtub so that the family can bathe in it.

It was one of the earliest episodes of the series and it still had the originally-selected cast, meaning that Jeremy Gelbwalks was still the drummer, and Danny was still about 10 years old and David Cassidy may not have yet become the star attraction of the show as in later seasons, and the episodes often were about life on the road for the family and had something more of a 1960s meaning to it. The following seasons quickly became about life at home for the family.

I would say that "The Memory Lingers" was also original even though I think that there must have been other sitcoms which had an episode about coming in contact with a skunk.

What episode or episodes would you say were the most "classic" and why?
