In the dark of these recent events for IMDB, many of us are moving onto a new replacement forum. I want people to notice that this is a privately owned website that can actually sustain itself. It's possible that eventually, it will be as if IMDB continues there. It's better than nothing after the 20th of February.

Come To The New IMDB Message Board:

Why is it HTTPS??

You should not FORCE that as you cause alot of connection problems for some browsers,etc........

You wanna have HTTPS fine but dont force it! (Nothing on a reg message board that needs HTTPS forced)

Nobody was forcing anything, all TMC did was post a link to the site. You're doing the same thing, trying to force your point across by using all caps which is totally unnecessary. I'm sure that TMC and others here are perfectly capable of reading and comprehension without the extra help. I agree that having https on a message board is ridiculous, but griping about it here won't do you any good so take it up with the website's administrator.

I'm not a member of IMDB but when I checked their boards a few weeks ago (following the announcement) there were replacement recommendations posted all over the place. There can't be 6+ "definitive" replacement sites. It seems someone there should coordinate which one everyone should join. Or maybe some members would rather have their own separate sites, I don't know really.

MovieChat.org (http://www.moviechat.org/) – Archive of IMDb Message Boards + Replacement for future movies!

Additional comments from the guy who built it can be found here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13653948

There is a group trying to start a separate platform.

They currently have a website: http://www.moviepanels.com/

If you're interested they're allowing people to sign up now and secure their SN. If you don't feel comfortable giving them your email address I'd just bookmark the website and wait to see what comes out of it.

I'm just curious. Why doesn't imdb ever update the cast and crew or any information for these shows??
