I'm seeking the 1979 SOAP clip show that opened the third season. Unlike the 1978 and 1980 retrospectives, which were released on VHS (and I now have available for trading -- along with the original hour-long edits of the series' final ten episodes), this one has never been released, although it is apparently in circulation.

Do you have this rarity? Let's trade! Here's my full list: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?p=5211184

Hour long edits of the series' final ten episodes?

The last ten episodes of SOAP were originally aired on ABC in five hour-long blocks (to be burnt off in five weeks instead of ten). Columbia House released them this way on VHS -- with radically different sequencing than in the half-hour DVD edits. (There's even a few scenes in these padded versions that are missing on the DVDs.) I have them digitized and available for trade!

Cool.

Have close to half of the entire ABC broadcast run of SOAP as it aired back then from the network broadcasts, including the retrospectives from ABC airings as well.

Do you indeed have this 08/30/79 clip show? If so, I'd love to arrange a trade (and will be generous). Here's my list: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=356781

I was so disappointed with the commercially released season sets with everything they left out - it would be amazing if someone put together the complete series with the retrospective and clip shows and made it available within the trading community

Yes. I have Goodnight Beantown from CBS broadcasts, but not all of the shows, pretty sure I have the 1977 episodes of Carol Burnett Show too you are looking for since I have most of the last 2-3 seasons of the show from original CBS broadcasts.
