TVFactFan 01-28-2017, 08:15 PM I would have What's Happening and 227 air on Friday Night on Antenna TV
I would have Odd Couple, Honeymooners, Bob Newhart and Mary Tyler Moore air from 9pm to 11pm on Sunday Night
Crusinforabrusin 01-28-2017, 08:37 PM Metv- Completely revamp their whole schedule
Antenna TV - Nothing really

I am glad Good Times and Sanford and Son comes on before I get home from work. lol
See enough of those on the weekend
tlc38tlc38 01-28-2017, 08:47 PM MeTV: Get rid of all the westerns.
Antenna TV: Air "Newhart" in primetime or at least at a decent time.
70s show watcher 01-28-2017, 08:50 PM me tv less dramas and more sitcoms
PhoenixAcres 01-28-2017, 09:07 PM me tv less dramas and more sitcoms
I agree, though I would keep "The Rifleman".
BigManMike 01-28-2017, 09:10 PM Antenna TV- Get rid of the credit crunches and show the credits intact full screen with music
MeTV- Get rid of all the westerns and give all shows equal air time each week
TVFactFan 01-28-2017, 09:35 PM would like to see Amen added to Antenna TV at some point
Bonniegirl 01-28-2017, 09:46 PM Antenna- Put ODAAT on all five days again! Wish is could be on every day from 7-8 after What's happening and 227 (glad Antenna added those) , Than after ODAAT Johnny Carson at 8 and Wings at 9! I'm talking Pacific time here BTW!!
METV- Take a lot of the Westerns off. Put Petticoat Junction back on, run Leave it to Beaver and Lucy a little later!

BigManMike 01-29-2017, 12:48 AM Antenna TV really needs to remove that Johnny Carson **** lol
Yes they sure do. I tried watching a couple of times but just couldn't get into it. Running it twice a night is dumb. It was a big waste of money.
treky 01-29-2017, 01:15 AM ME TV -put "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES and PETTICOAT JUBCTION on in prime time.
ANTENNA TV-stop the spilt-screen and the credit crunching.
METV - Put Welcome Back, Kotter back on the weekday schedule and at a decent time for west coast viewers.
Antenna TV - have The Ropers and Three's a Crowd come on twice a week (basically their old Saturday and Sunday schedule) and have it air in the afternoon. It comes on too early on the west coast now.
1960'sTVfan 01-29-2017, 02:04 PM Antenna TV really needs to remove that Johnny Carson **** lol
Johnny Carson isn't for everyone, I'm surprised Antenna TV began airing his show because it isn't a sitcom, it's a discussion/interview show, although it does have a good amount of humor. I think Antenna TV realized there is an audience for Johnny Carson so they negotiated a deal to air repeats of his show. I like the 90 minute Carson shows from the 70's, the 1972 to 1977 shows are my favorites. I'm usually not interested in the 60 minute shows from the 80's and early 90's.
1960'sTVfan 01-29-2017, 02:16 PM MeTV: Get rid of all the westerns.
I agree about the westerns, I think most of them are dull and boring. And these western shows are basically all the same, good guys vs. the bad guys, once you've seen one you've seen them all.
I have a fairly large collection of movie serials from the 30's, 40's, & 50's, several of those are western genre type stories. Most are not that interesting but Republic made a few decent western serials, Columbia's Roar Of The Iron Horse isn't too bad either, although it's easy to tell a few minutes into the first chapter who the villains are. So when the 15th chapter comes along and the villains are revealed, it isn't a surprise.
Regulus 01-29-2017, 03:00 PM If I hadn't done what I did a decade ago I'd do it today. All my favorite shows, uncut and without commercial interruptions, banners, pop-ups and scrolls. I have no need for commercial TV anymore. :D
stevea 02-01-2017, 10:20 PM Antenna TV - play programs clean like they used to, with longer run times and full credits. Enough with Norman Lear already...time for some newer stuff.
MeTV - ditch some of the westerns and bring in some newer sitcoms, like Raymond. Also they jump thru hoops to bring in long-unaired westerns, like expanding the Gunsmoke and Bonanza offerings. How about the missing My Three Sons seasons that haven't aired in years? Or Donna Reed missing seasons?

Well that sucks
icecream 02-01-2017, 11:35 PM I would remove all of the Norman Lear shows and Three's Company, they need a long rest. an ideal schedule which includes shows coming later in the year

OH Nuts! 02-02-2017, 07:47 AM Room 222 entire series please!
icecream 02-02-2017, 11:25 AM I believe Green Acres is expiring soon. thought about Addams Family but it only has 2 seasons.
PhoenixAcres 02-02-2017, 12:15 PM I believe Green Acres is expiring soon. thought about Addams Family but it only has 2 seasons.
Green Acres is reportedly moving to MeTV next year.
Becca3557 02-03-2017, 02:44 PM I would change the policy of one hour for sit-coms to a half-hour each so that they could air more shows. I enjoy Hogan's Heroes, 227, etc., but I don't need an hour of them.
I'd make both networks available to anyone that wants them.
Bonniegirl 02-03-2017, 04:41 PM [QUOTE=phoenixAcres16]Green Acres is reportedly moving to MeTV next year.[/QUOTE
Oh wow!! Cool! ;) Maybe they will bring back Petticoat Junction and they can run them back to back, have a Hooterville hour! And than Beverly Hillbillies too! ;)
Bonniegirl 02-03-2017, 04:46 PM Room 222 entire series please!
YES!!!!! That would be so cool!;) Aspire TV runs it, but for me on PT it's on so early, plus Aspire REALLY has a lot of commercials on!!! More than Antenna and METV even it seems!
I wish METV would run Marcus Welby MD and Mod Squad too! ;)
IGNTBone 02-04-2017, 12:17 AM Antenna TV - Have AT&T U-Verse carry it
MeTV - Acquire & air It's Garry Shandling's Show
AMackII 02-04-2017, 08:46 AM MeTV: Have Charlie's Angels to be acquired so it can air at 5/4c between CHiPs & Macgyver while a hour of Mama's Family comes on before Carol Burnett & Friends
Antenna TV: ditch Sabrina the Teenage Witch & Becker from the schedule and reinstate some dramas(of any type) from the pre-1990s period.
biffbronson 02-04-2017, 02:51 PM I'd want either of them to acquire Nanny & the Professor, starring Juliet Mills and Richard Long.
But one thing I'd like that's definitely doable would be some bigtime shuffling of time slots. For example, MeTV could move their westerns to graveyard shift (after about 1 a.m.) and replace with the programming there now.
I've been spending more of my time overall lately watching Decades, H & I, and Cozi -- compared with Me and Antenna combined. I think Antenna has done better than MeTV in recent years to shake things up on their network.

Gettv airs Nanny & the Professor.

I would make it available to everyone. :D

I wish METV would run Marcus Welby MD and Mod Squad too! ;)
Aspire TV must have exclusive rights on Room 222 because nobody else has aired it. I'm sure it's on Antenna's wish list. It's one I would like to see too.
I would rather MeTV acquire Marcus Welby than Cozi because Cozi edits so much out of a show it's insane and Mod Squad would be cool too!
Svenfan1234 02-08-2017, 12:21 PM Antenna TV: Get rid of the Lear shows and run the new shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Wings, Becker, Family Ties and Newhart at better times.
Me-TV: Remove Andy Griffith, MacGyver & Hogan and bring back MTM, Taxi, Odd Couple, Cheers & Bob Newhart to weeknights
MeTV: bring back the "Catch Me if You Can" detective show block on Sunday afternoons. That was a lot of fun.
Antenna TV: leave the credits untouched. Throwing in an extra Johnny Carson or network promo commercial is gratuitous. I do like the variety of shows.
Crusinforabrusin 02-10-2017, 10:46 AM Antenna TV - Remove Johnny Carson and put any sitcom in its place
Metv- Add "new" dramas such as The Walton's , Little House On The Prairie , Dr. Kildare , Route 66
MrCleveland 02-10-2017, 01:08 PM Let both have a cartoon block, shows that you can't get on Netflix or Hulu...there's a lot of them!...

I'd love for METV to show the Waltons! ;)
Mace Dolex 02-10-2017, 06:26 PM For both I'd say maybe have more 80's sitcoms and dramas, as it is they have way too many old shows that my grandparents probably watched.
Or at least have a 1-day marathon event of all day 1980's sitcoms.
PhoenixAcres 02-10-2017, 10:43 PM I'd love for METV to show the Waltons! ;)
I'd love it as well. :)
It would be great if they showed the Waltons on weeknights, maybe replacing the MASH timeslot.

Bonniegirl 02-11-2017, 01:17 AM I would like that as well. It's a good nighttime show.
I totally agree with both of you. ;) The Walton's would be a perfect, calming ,wholesome show to wind down with after a long stressful day!;)
Coffeecup 02-11-2017, 11:59 AM Let both have a cartoon block, shows that you can't get on Netflix or Hulu...there's a lot of them!... The only cartoons I could tolerate would be the Flintstones or the Jetsons. I'm a little old for the kiddie ones and the new cartoon type such as the Simpsons have language, I don't like.
MrCleveland 02-11-2017, 12:05 PM The only cartoons I could tolerate would be the Flintstones or the Jetsons. I'm a little old for the kiddie ones and the new cartoon type such as the Simpsons have language, I don't like.
I do wish WB would show the older H-B Cartoons somewhere else rather than sit on them!
But I grew-up in the 80's and 90's and most SatAM cartoons had better quality. The cartoons of the 80's would work better on Antenna TV and the pre-1980 shows would work better on MeTV!
8traxrule 02-12-2017, 08:23 AM Me-TV: Get rid of the onscreen bug (which usually includes the local station putting their city underneath it!) and stop with the cropping.
Antenna TV: Their national feed doesn't use a bug and I enjoyed their first couple years, but then our local station put their own bug on and I promptly quit watching. The split-screen at the end credits is awful; it not only spoils the end credits but also ruins the opening scene of the next show!
What I'd like to see on all these types of networks: airing shows as close to their original airings as possible, including the commercials that aired during the shows' very first network broadcasts. If they can't do that, at least have sponsors provide their older commercials and bookend them with stuff promoting what they're doing today.
The one change I would make is a fairly obvious one: make both channels available in Canada. As for programming, what I would do with Me-Tv is also simple. During weekdays, except in primetime, move all the AM shows to PM and vice-versa. That way all the best shows can be seen at better and more convenient times and all the westerns and dramas would be on latenights for more adult viewers to watch.

thatgirl324 02-20-2017, 10:59 AM Personally, I love the westerns on ME-TV, but I think they should only be on for a limited time a day, or just one day a week.
thatgirl324 02-20-2017, 11:10 AM If I had the power to make 1 change on ME-TV and Antenna TV what would it be?
Antenna TV - Someone posted it earlier, take off the Norman Lear shows. There's only so much I can take of Archie and Edith Bunker before I want to gauge my ears out.
Me-TV - There are too many things I'd like to do with this channel, I can't limit it to just one, but I think the one that sticks out the most is.........
GIVE MASH A REST ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thatgirl324 02-20-2017, 11:38 AM Let both have a cartoon block, shows that you can't get on Netflix or Hulu...there's a lot of them!...
Unfortunately all the classic Looney Tunes, Hanna Barbera, and MGM cartoons have a lifetime contract with Cartoon Network and Boomerang until 2050. I remember Antenna TV used to air a show called Totally Tooned In that would air Columbia pictures cartoons and also Mr. Magoo. But they weren't that great IMO. I've found the way to get my Saturday morning cartoon fix is to make a big breakfast with my husband, and watch the cartoons on dvd. It's well worth it.

I like the Lear shows, but they really are WAY overplayed!!! Don't take them off altogether, but cut back. Give other shows a chance! ;) Also Johnny Carson, I like it sometimes for the nostalgia and depending on the guests, but it is on too much!
And I totally agree about MASH on METV, ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!
I like the Sunday Funnies on METV but I also liked Catch me if you can. Maybe they could play a crime show after Love Boat instead of Andy Griffith, that's another show that is SO overplayed!:(
PhoenixAcres 02-20-2017, 04:25 PM And I totally agree about MASH on METV, ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!
So true. MASH has been in the same 7 PM ET slot for as long as I can remember. It may be the only time slot that's never changed over Me's history. Over the years the schedule will change, new shows are added, and things move around, but MASH is FOREVER at that prime time slot. You'd think even the fans would get tired of seeing the same exact show at the same exact time of day for 6 years straight.
mets82 02-20-2017, 04:41 PM I didn't post here because I don't have ME-TV. For the record, after ME-TV, my channel became Heroes and Icons and now it's some gospel channel.
But for at least Antenna TV, I'll say get rid of the credit crunches and the odd commercial breaks which seems to be happening now on Cozi and POP. Also, the lineup doesn't really do anything for me. The Norman Lear shows should take a break. Also, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie should leave.

Re the "odd commercial breaks" on Antenna TV: do you mean the way they don't put the commercial where it should logically be? I'd LOVE to know why Antenna does this (and they aren't the only ones--try "Raymond" on TVLand sometime). So, for example, watching Father Knows Best this morning, the picture fades to black after a couple of minutes of show--where the commercial should be--no commercial. Then, a few minutes later, they cut someone off practically in the middle of a word, with the commercial. IT MAKES NO SENSE!

I've recently gotten into watching TAGS on DVD and I've been enjoying it but I do agree that networks should stop airing so many shows that are readily available through other networks, venues, etc.
Try airing "Benson", "Amen", "Major Dad", "Perfect Strangers", "Step by Step", & "Love, American Style" and bring back "Petticoat Junction".
Jamey Greek 04-04-2017, 08:40 PM Not happening. Antenna has said Johnny Carson is their highest rated show.
Not really, not as much as they are letting on. It was stated on The Stu Shostak Show that the ratings weren't high enough to justify acquiring more episodes.
