I remember a UM case had to do with letters being sent out about a bus driver. The ladies husband gets a phone call and gets really mad leaves the house and dies in a car wreck? (maybe murder) Then at some point along her bus route there is a sign or something and she stops and finds a trap that has a gun in it....

For the life of me I cant think of any of the pin point details, but it has always been in the back of my mind. I think some one went to jail over it....

Does anyone have a clue what I am talking about

It's the Circleville Letter case. Paul Freshour was the person who went to prison over it. Many believe he was innocent (this poster included).

MASSIVE threads on this. Just search Circleville on the threads. Or Freshour.
