I discovered Melissa Manchester when I bought her album The Essence Of Melissa Manchester and I loved her voice and I learned that she was one of Bette Midler's background singers and I also loved her song Through The Eyes Of Love that's from my favorite sports movie Ice Castles and she is just amazing

Melissa Manchester also recorded the album Tribute in 1989 that features a great cover of Dionne Warwick's Walk On By and did you also know that Melissa was Kenny Loggins's original duet partner on the song Whenever I Call You Friend but it's a surprise when he remade it he chose Stevie Nicks to duet with but it's a good song that Kenny and Melissa wrote together
