In 1991 FOX launched a sitcom named Top Of The Heap that was created by the same creators of Married With Children and it used to air directly after Married With Children as part of FOX's sitcom lineup but Top Of The Heap was soon cancelled and is considered to be one of the most underrated FOX sitcoms in FOX's history
Do you remember Top Of The Heap?

I do remember it, it had Matt LeBlanc, his character was on a couple of Married With Children episodes. I think Top Of The Heap had a name change and was called Vinnie And Bobby the second year.

Matt LeBlanc was on Top Of The Heap? I didn't know that fact and that's a surprise to me. I guess Top Of The Heap was Matt LeBlanc's big sitcom debut because it's hard to believe that Matt LeBlanc would become a bigger success later in Friends and his Top Of The Heap character was named Vinnie. What a surprise because Vinnie is my favorite boy's name. Thank you for sharing this fact about Top Of The Heap with me Torgo you really have a lot of knowedge to share with all of us here

I was in middle school and remember liking Top Of The Heap. The country club that was part of the show's setting had a geriatric security guard who delivered funny one liners.

Top Of The Heap also used the classic song Putting On The Ritz as it's theme song and that I thought was really cool. Top Of The Heap sounded like a lot of fun to watch and FOX should've given it more episodes instead of cancelling it

I remember Top of The Heap just because it was a backdoor pilot from Married With Children.

I didn't even know that also Rita Moreno was on Top Of The Heap and that surprised me considering she has been in acting for a long time and I don't know why Top Of The Heap got cancelled because it was an awesome sitcom and it showed that Matt LeBlanc had real talent before his breakthrough role on Friends

Hi, Bestie! I actually remember that show! It was a spinoff of Married with children, I think.

"Married...with Children" made several attempts at spinoffs over its 11 season run. In episode #2 of "Behind the Backdoor Pilot," we take a look at "Top of the Heap," (https://web.archive.org/web/20061031125202/http://www.jumptheshark.com/t/topoftheheap.htm) the backdoor pilot episode of "Married...with Children" that scored a short-lived FOX sitcom spinoff starring Matt LeBlanc. Plus, "Married...with Children"'s other failed spinoff attempts, a "Friends" knockoff featuring Alan Thicke and a college radio show comedy centered around Bud's girlfriend April (played by Keri Russell).
