This is a "find" rather than purchase, but here goes...

I took a short walk today and spotted this neat pile of DVDs tied together w/ string out for tomorrow's trash. I don't typically go "dumpster diving", but these weren't in w/ the regular garbage and looked to be in good condition so I decided to take them home.

The cases were in great shape and I popped a few discs in to see if they worked, and they did, so this was a neat find for today.

Ordered from Amazon, the Blu Ray of the 2014 found footage horror film The Houses October Built. Includes the 2011 documentary of the same name, it was a straight up documentary about Halloween Haunted Houses made by the same people.

Nice haul! Black Christmas is a classic! Haven't seen Bloodsucker Leads The Dance in years. Dog Soldiers is one of the better post-2000 werewolf films. Campfire Stories leaves a lot to be desired, you know me and anthologies, but even for me this one...well it was better than Creepshow III.

I stopped by an Italian record store w/ a friend earlier today and asked the guy, since he sold Italian movies, if he had anything giallo or erotic.

I have heard mixed things about it online w/ some saying it is very neat and sturdy and others saying it's cheap wood and very flimsy. I have another PM trunk Full Moon put out, for Axis of Evil, and it came loose.

The Puppet Master box set arrived here this morning. This is one of the best movie box sets I've seen w/ very sturdy, smooth wood and working locks.

The exclusive booklet contains a note to the fans from Charles Band and each film's artwork. The small Blade figure is the first of a new series that's made exclusively for this box set as they are small enough to fit inside.

The package also contained a free DVD, The Day Time Ended (1980).

The Puppet Master box set arrived here this morning. This is one of the best movie box sets I've seen w/ very sturdy, smooth wood and working locks.

The Day Time Ended is one of the earliest movies my family rented when we got our first VCR back in the early 80's.
