If Teddy Danson decided to keep going how long could Cheers have gone on for

I feel like Woody have left eventually for a movie career, Kelsey may have left and it seemed Kristie was on her way out

I think they could have gone a few more years without Woody and possibly kELSEY

If Ted Danson stayed on , I'd say Cheers would have maybe 2-4 years left before it would be cancelled. 11 seasons is more than enough of Cheers

It's a good thing Cheers didn't last longer. Then we wouldn't have gotten Frasier.

I remember reading that Ted Danson was ready to leave, but the producers were considering doing a twelfth season where Woody bought the bar and it would just go on from there. That would have probably been a disaster since Sam was such an integral part of the show. Maybe they could have explored more of the regulars in depth for more story ideas but even then 12 seasons would have been more than enough.
