Since the debut of Double Dare in 1986 and the debut of Finders Keepers in 1987 it seemed that Nickelodeon was the king of game shows and with the debuts of the game shows Out Of Control and Make The Grade Nickelodeon was on top of the world and as the 90's began Nickelodeon had added more game shows such as Get The Picture Nickelodeon Guts Legends Of The Hidden Temple Wild And Crazy Kids What Would You Do Nick Arcade and Figure It Out. But as soon as 2000 began Nickelodeon debuted Double Dare 2000 and since the debuts of My Family's Got Guts and BrainSurge Nickelodeon stopped having an interest in game shows anymore and you might think that with the debut of the movie version of Legends Of The Hidden Temple Nickelodeon would revive a new version of Legends Of The Hidden Temple in the future soon. But now it seems that Nickelodeon is only focusing on Paradise Run and is making a new season of Paradise Run in January. I remember when Nickelodeon had fun game shows and they were so cool but now that Paradise Run is a huge hit on Nickelodeon will Nickelodeon return to making game shows again soon?

I think Nick is getting cheaper and cheaper. They need to spend money to get back on top, but they don't want to. Look for GSN or Cartoon Network or Disney to buy them in the near future, just to get their catalog of great shows of the past. Too bad.

At Least, Nickelodeon have recently rebooted Double Dare. no word on when will the 2018 revival of DD returning for another season or not.
